The Scientists discuss problems about increasing level of the Black sea in Odessa.

The IInd International Conference " the Black Sea - Mediterranean corridor for the last 30 thousand years: changes of the sea level and human adaptation " has opened in Odessa.
100 experts from 18 countries of the world are taking part in this forum.

 
The human adaptation to increasing level of the Black sea and the Black Sea - Mediterranean corridor became the main theme on the agenda of the IInd International Conference.

The forum has opened today on the basis of the Odessa National University (ОNU) by I.I. Mechnikov, informed "Eurochoice".
The theme of the Conference is rather actual for today, as the level of Black sea raises, on different data, from several millimeters up to 3 centimeters a year.

The sea level has raised up to 100 meters for the last 10 thousand years.

The Conference passes within the limits of the International Program of geological correlation project of UNESCO. This project has begun in 2005 and it is calculated on 5 years.

About 100 experts from 18 countries of the world are takes part in this Conference which have opened today.
Among them - the representatives from such countries as: the USA, Canada, the Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Iran, etc.

The following forum will pass in 2007 in Bulgaria.
