Birds\' flu diagnostics laboratory to be established in Odessa

The next year,  blood testing for the highly-pathogenic virus laboratory will be established in Odessa

The next year, animals’ and birds’ blood testing for the highly-pathogenic virus laboratory will be established in Odessa. This was announced by Healthcare minister Yuriy Polyachenko, transmits “Eurochoice” media-group.
The laboratory will be the fourth complex of a kind in the country. The equipment delivery will start after the Healthcare ministries’ of USA and Ukraine signing the mutual technical aid memorandum.  The document is supposed to be signed in October.
The first three laboratories will be established in Kiev, Simferopol and one of the northern regions. The official emphasized, that Ukraine will receive the technical aid costless.

In February, near 50 birds died in Odessa zoo because of H5 virus. It was exposed by the Central veterinary medicine laboratory workers (Kiev). The virus is supposed to have been brought by the migrating birds, maybe the rooks. It is believed, that this virus is not dangerous for the humans.
