Tourists from 51 world countries visited Odessa this summer

Odessa Touristic Informational Center has serviced nearly 10 000 tourists in half a year.

On June 5, 2012, “Odessa Touristic Informational Center” Communal Establishment was introduced in our city. In the center, every foreign tourist could get all the necessary information in Russian, Ukrainian and English languages, and it is planned to expand the language range in the nearest future.
The center will work daily from 10 a.m. till 7 p.m. The center’s services are free for each and every tourist. On top of that, a free “123” touristic hotline is successfully functioning in our city, and each caller can receive all the necessary information in Russian, Ukrainian, English and German.

As it was announced by Odessa City Culture and Tourism Dept Head Tatiana Markova, tourists from 51 world countries have visited Odessa this summer, “These weren’t only tourists from European countries, who traditionally visit Odessa, but also the inhabitants of rather exotic countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Chile. All of them have visited our Touristic Informational Center for some help. In total, the Center has serviced nearly 10 000 tourists!”.

On September 2, 2012, Odessa was celebrating its 218th Birthday.
The City’s Tourist Emblem was introduced at the crossing of Lanzheronovskaya and Pushkinskaya Streets. The festive opening ceremony was held in the network of Odessa’s Birthday celebration. The 2 m high bronze sculpture named “I Love Odessa” was manufactured in Kiev.
The Emblem’s creation is a totally off-budget project.
