Odessa Zoo getting ready for tigers’ wedding

On February 16, Tiger tiger and Tayga tigress will celebrate their wedding in Odessa Zoo. And on February 14 – 16, Odessa Zoo’s visitors will have a chance to leave valentines for their favorite animals.

Odessa Zoo is getting ready to celebrate a unique festive event – the wedding of Tiger tiger and Tayga tigress. The festive ceremony, which is dated for Valentine’s Day, will take place on February 16, is scheduled to start 12 a.m.

As it was announced by Odessa Zoo Science and Strategic Development Director Igor Byelyakov, the enamored pair of tigers has started their relationships in 2011, and kicked it off right from the start. On February 14, 2012, the hurdle between the two Amur tigers’ cages has been opened, and the pair of predators reunited. In a year, the Zoo’s management decided to finally legalize the big cats’ relationships.

On February 16, each visitor of the Zoo will have a chance to try the traditional wedding cake: a meat one is prepared for the newlyweds and the guests will be treated with a sweet cake. The festive part of the event will be held at the so-called “country yard”, where a disco, lots of presents and a romantic mood are prepared for the guests.

And on February 14 – 16, Odessa Zoo’s visitors will have a chance to leave valentines for their favorite animals.
