European outdoor advertisement development leaders are ready to struggle for Odessa market

On December, 12, Odessa mayor Eduard Gurvits carried out meetings with the representatives of JCDecaux and Ströer Out-of-Home Medіa AG Companies

On December, 12, Odessa mayor Eduard Gurvits carried out meetings with the representatives of the worldwide known companies specializing in advertisement constructions placement and servicing.
The French JCDecaux company has its own representative office in Ukraine. Its production is well-known in forty nine world countries and thirty four Ukrainian cities. It is the world leader in development and manufacturing of so called “street furniture” (i.e. bus stops, news-stalls, waste bins, etc.).
After the meeting with Odessa city mayor the Director General of JCDecaux for the Eastern Europe and Middle Asia Emmanuel Russo informed the journalists of the conception’s having been presented to the mayoralty providing for the modern “street furniture” placement and servicing. The French side is ready to perform this if it is conferred powers to place advertisement on these constructions. In case of the conception adopting, Odessa will become the Ukraine’s first city to have the “Street Furniture” project to improve the city’s image and render extra services to its inhabitants realized.
 
JCDecaux Management announced their being ready to sing a long-term contract with the mayoralty and organize the first exhibition of their production here in the nearest future. An agreement of a kind, calculated for 20 years, has been recently signed with the Japanese Yokohama city mayoralty. Since the 70’ies, JCDecaux has been working in Paris, and one of the last contracts was signed with Sydney city (Australia) mayoralty.
One more company, whose representatives Eduard Gurvits met in several hours, Ströer Out-of-Home Medіa AG, is one of the leaders the German advertisement market. Its production is successfully exploited in over 600 German cities, in many of Turkish, Polish cities and other European countries. The Ströer Company portfolio features six thousand railway complexes, which belong to the German Deutsche Bahn railway concern.
The meeting in Odessa was held in the network of the All-Ukrainian presentation being carried out by the German company at the time being. “If Odessa mayoralty agrees to cooperate, every our step will correlate with the tourist peculiarities of your city. I’ve also expressed my being ready to organize a campaign to advertise Odessa tourist opportunities in the German cities”, announced Ströer company Board member, company manager in the Eastern Europe Thomas Stiechel.
During the meeting, a preliminary agreement of carrying out an advertisement campaign to support the image of Odessa as the tourist center of Ukraine in Berlin in spring 2007 was achieved.
