On the New Year’s eve the first modern family medicine clinic was opened in Odessa. Its official presentation was participated by Odessa city deputy mayor Tatiana Fidirko and the city healthcare department head Yelena Yakimenko. They emphasized, that in the beginning of this year Odessa city mayor Eduard Gurvits offered the City Council to sign a Memorandum, where the family medicine development is stated to be one of the priorities in the healthcare branch. Odessa’ already got family clinic departments working in some of the city’s policlinics. The healthcare department plans to continue working in this direction.
The newly-opened family medicine clinic owned by “Medea” LLC can afford its visitors the full specter of diagnostic and treatment. The clinic has a new roentgen equipment by “Siemens”, a new B/K Medical expert class US-diagnostics equipment produced in Denmark to carry out diagnostics of the grown-ups and children of any age and many other unique medical equipment.
Odessa city deputy mayor Tatiana Fidirko emphasized that the clinic’s equipment accords to the modern level and expressed her hoping on the clinic management’s agreeing on the city’s women diagnostics organizing, because the mammography equipment presented here doesn’t have any analogues. During the presentation, it was announced that the family medicine clinic will provide the disabled children of Odessa’s Kievskiy district with free help.
The city healthcare department head Yelena Yakimenko expressed her being sure of such a model of family medicine does fully meet the city’s inhabitants’ demands. This clinic will provide help for the families having many children, disabled children and the children of poor social background. The registry of these social categories has already been drawn by the clinic’s administration and the healthcare department.
