In Odessa was held traditional New Year\'s meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions

The Mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov and the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Odessa summed up the results of outgoing year and discussed the prospects of cooperation for the next year

December 23, 2014, the Mayor of Odessa Gennadiy Trukhanov met with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Odessa, as well as the head of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine, representatives of the UN and OSCE missions, heads of foreign foundations and cultural centers located in Odessa, and trade attaché. Such meetings are organized each year before the New Year's day, not only to sum up the results of their work for the outgoing year. During these meetings, the diplomats exchange their plans for the development and strengthening of international relations for the coming year.

According to the Mayor, comprehensive development of friendly relations with various countries located all over the world and with sister cities of Odessa is one of the priorities of the city authorities. And today the city is doing everything possible to maintain the image of Odessa as a reliable business partner on the international level.

Many foreign businessmen are working successfully in Odessa, and thousands of tourists from Ukraine and from foreign countries annually visit South Palmyra. Odessa is the second largest city in Ukraine (after the capital of the state) by the number of diplomatic missions, foundations and cultural centers.
