The Day of Polish-Hungarian Friendship was held in Odessa

Odessa schoolchildren took part in festivities on occasion of the Day of Polish-Hungarian Friendship: presentation, musical numbers and traditional dishes of Polish and Hungarian cuisine

March 23, 2015 in the Central City Library named after Franko was held the Day of Polish-Hungarian

friendship’s celebration. The national-cultural society "Polish note", the Hungarian community in Odessa, as well as management of the library became initiators of the festival. The meeting was held under the auspices of the Department of International Relations and the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa City Council.

Official guests of the meeting were the Consul General of Poland in Odessa Mr. Dariusz Szewczyk, Consul of the Consulate General of Poland in Odessa, Mr. Petr Sebeneyhen, Senior Consul of the Hungarian Embassy in Ukraine Mr. Janusz Collar, as well as Director of the
Department of International Relations Svetlana Boieva. The event was attended by Odessa schoolchildren.

Chairperson of the national-cultural society "Polish note" conducted a presentation about the nearly thousand-year period of the Polish-Hungarian friendship, during which young people from Odessa had an opportunity to learn more about the history of friendship and cooperation between the two European nations.

Ensemble "Polish note" and its soloists performed the songs in Polish and the soloist Sonia Paygert reformed a beautiful song in the Hungarian language being in Hungarian national costume which she personally made.
