On June 15, 2015 in Odessa was held the grand opening of the memorial plaque to the birth of the nowadays State of Israel. The board was opened on the house number 12 in the Nechipurenko lane. The ceremony was attended by the city and region authorities, representatives of diplomatic missions, representatives of Israeli NGOs and the citizens of Odessa.

The building was erected in 1889, and in April 1890 there was opened the "Welfare Society of the Jewish farmers and craftsmen of Syria and Palestine". That was the place where the repatriation of Jews to the land of their ancestors began. With this organization’s assistance were developed Jerusalem, Haifa, Jaffa and Gedera.

Reference:
In the house 12 on Nechipurenko lane in 1904 was located a partnership company "Geula", which was purchasing the lands in Palestine and transferring them to the future Jewish state. At one of these lands near by the city of Jaffa, was built the town, now known as Tel Aviv. The first mayor of this city was Meir Dizengoff who was the founder of the "Geula", and lived in this house on Nechipurenko lane.
