An exhibition to present Finnish Oulu’s achievements open in Odessa on the 50th anniversary of the sister cities relationship

On April, 24, an exhibition to present Finnish Oulu’s social-economic, sport, cultural and business achievements open in Odessa on the 50th anniversary of sister cities ’s relations establishment.

On April, 24, an exhibition to present Finnish Oulu’s social-economic, sport, cultural and business achievements was open in Odessa Marine Trading Port’s exhibition hall on the 50th anniversary of sister cities relations establishment.
Its festive presentation was participated by Odessa City Deputy Mayor Tatiana Fidirko.
At the exhibition having drawn great attention of the citizens, a big stand of Odessa M. Gorkiy Scientific State Library, which has been developing relations with Oulu’s municipal and university libraries, was presented.
At the stand, Ukrainian and Finnish literature received from Oulu’s libraries and municipality was presented.
 
 
 
 
“Business-delegation from Finland visiting Odessa at the time being has already planned several meetings in our city’s Trade and Commercial Chamber”, emphasized Odessa City Council International Relations, European Integration and Odessa Diaspora Affairs Head Oleg Dolzhenkov. In Mr. Dolzhenkov’s opinion, Oulu city’s experience as a tourist city is extremely interesting as well.
The exhibition’s visitors have an opportunity to take part in a quiz. The winners will be rewarded with a trip to Oulu – a city famous far behind Finnish borders.
Finnish writers’ books by “Calvaria” editorial having been presented at the exhibition  were granted as a gift to M. Gorkiy Library by the Ambassador of Finland to Ukraine Mrs. Laura Reinila.
