Trolley fleet in Odessa will be upgraded by 50 percent

Odessa is the first city in Ukraine which the EBRD has committed financing for purchase of 45 new low-floor trolleys

European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has approved financial program in the amount of 100 million euro to improve public transport in Ukrainian cities.
Odessa is the first city, which is allocated the funding for this program.
An agreement on allocation of credit to the enterprise for purchasing 45 new vehicles was signed in Odessa City Council on the 21st of October 2015. This will replace almost half of the old city trolleys to new and environmentally safe ones. The Bank provided the company 8 million euro for a period of twelve years.

The project will contribute to the reforms in the urban transport sector and new low-floor trolleybuses will enable accessibility to the public transport, provide significant energy savings as well as reduce operating costs associated with the public transport management.
